Я думала, как лучше воплотить конкурсную тему. Было много идей как показать традиции, чтобы это соответствовало духу времени. Но позже я поняла, что не надо ничего придумывать. То, что сохранено в русских традициях – проверено временем не раз и не два. Суть наследия, которое досталось нам от наших предков всегда будет неизменной. Всё, что нужно – бережно переносить её в новую реальность и передавать следующим поколениям. Это касается и ценностей и способности воспринимать красоту в любом её проявлении.
Пусть сегодня нет досок для кудели, на которых наши прадеды изображали мезенских коней, зато есть прекрасная возможность носить такую красоту на сумочках в театр, например. Поэтому я нашла уместным соединить старинные техники и новые материалы. Почему нет?
На сумочке вы видите двух коней, как символ преемственности поколений. А ещё древние символы – дерево жизни и птицы – посланники божественной энергии. Мы все – дети солнца и творцы прекрасного на земле. Давайте помнить об этом.

I was thinking how best to embody the contest theme. There were a lot of ideas on how to show the traditions so that it would be in line with the spirit of the time. But later I realized that there is no need to invent anything. What is preserved in Russian traditions has been time-tested more than once or twice. The essence of the heritage that we get from our ancestors will always be unchanged. All that is needed is to transfer it carefully to a new reality and pass it on to the next generations. This also applies to values and the ability to perceive beauty in any of its manifestations.
Today there are no boards for yarn which were depicted with Mezen horses by our great-grandfathers hands, but there is a great opportunity to take such a beauty on handbags into the theater, for example. Therefore, I found it appropriate to combine ancient techniques and new materials. Why not?
On the handbag you see two horses, as a symbol of the continuity of generations. And also ancient symbols — the tree of life and birds — messengers of divine energy. We are all children of the sun and creators of beauty on earth. Let’s keep this in mind.
