На создание колье «Сон о Венеции» меня вдохновил этот прекрасный город.
Венеция мне понравилась не с первой минуты, но чем дальше я ее изучала, тем больше влюблялась в этот город. Однажды мы набрели на тихую улочку где находятся мастерские в которых делают знаменитые венецианские маски. И, пожалуй, одни из самых знаменитых масок – Пьеро и Арлекин.
Арлекин и Пьеро – герои итальянской «комедии масок» и абсолютно противоположны друг другу.
Арлекин — веселый неунывающий хитрый слуга из Бергамо, он легко совершает глупости, но и наказания воспринимает также с улыбкой. Он ленив и всегда рад увильнуть от работы, любит подремать и поесть. Арлекин с изяществом и ловкостью отбивает у Пьеро его жену Коломбину.
Пьеро – добрый, обаятельный, но печальный и неудачливый персонаж. Он соперник Арлекина за любовь своей жены Коломбины и мучается от несчастной любви к ней. Он печален и сентиментален, но сквозь эту печаль видны ум и благородство.
Венеция похожа на этих героев. Она тихая и шумная, людная и пустынная, веселая и навевающая грусть от необходимости ее покинуть.

The creation of necklace “Dream of Venice” was inspired by this beautiful city.
I didn’t fall in love with Venice at first sight, but the more I studied it, the more I fell in love with this city. Once we came across a quiet street with the workshops in which the famous Venetian masks were made. And, perhaps, ones of the most famous masks — Pierrot and Harlequin.
Harlequin and Pierrot are the heroes of the Italian «comedy of masks» and are absolutely opposite to each other.
Harlequin — cheerful resilient crafty servant from Bergamo, easily makes fiddle-faddles, but perceives the following punishments with a smile. He is lazy and always happy to escape from work, likes to take a nap and eat. The Harlequin, with grace and skill, always stealing his master Pierrot’s wife Columbine.
Pierrot — kind, charming, but sad and unlucky character. He sad lover, the unsuccessful rival of Harlequin prevail and suffers from unhappy love for his wife Columbine. He is sad and sentimental, but through this sadness mind and nobility are visible.
Venice is like these heroes. It is quiet and noisy, crowded and deserted, cheerful and sadness of the need to leave the Venice.
