Тема возвращения к истокам отзывается у меня мыслями о родной земле, о наших предках и их традициях. Это первозданные леса, луга и реки. Это размеренная жизнь деревень с традиционным укладом, обрядами и, конечно, праздниками.
Моя история про ночь накануне Ивана Купала. В это колье, как в купальский венок, «вплетены» формы и изгибы луговых трав, оттенки ночного леса, всполохи ритуального костра, мерцание лунной дорожки на реке. Колье не символизирует атрибут праздника, не повторяет форму венка. Это довольно длинное украшение, похожее, скорее, на массивные бусы.
А еще, эта вещь – пример того, как можно использовать кристаллы Swarovski в сочетании с росписью по дереву и простой техникой сборки украшений. Это своего рода эксперимент, и мне невероятно интересно узнать, насколько он успешен.
Материалы:
— элементы из фанеры по авторским эскизам;
— деревянные бусины;
— темпера, акварель, гуашь, стекловидный лак;
— кристаллы и жемчуг Swarovski;
— японский и чешский бисер;
— кожаный шнур;
— фурнитура под серебро.

The theme of returning to our origins evokes my thoughts about the native land of our ancestors and their traditions. This is the primeval forests, meadows and rivers. This is the leisurely life of villages with the traditional customs and holidays.
This is my story about the Ivan Kupala Night. In this necklace, like in a Kupala wreath, the shapes of meadow plants are garlanded, with flashes of ritual fire, night forest shades, flickering lunar path on the river. The necklace does not symbolize the holiday attribute, it is not in the shape of a wreath. It’s quite a long decoration resembling rather a massive chaplet.
Also the necklace is an example of how one can use Swarovski Crystals combined with painting on wood and simple technique of jewellery assembly. This project is an experiment, and I am eager to find out if it is successful.
