Огонь издревле манил людей как чудо, как символ силы, и в то же время тепла и уюта. Огонь почитался всеми племенами и народами без исключения, достаточно вспомнить мифы о Фениксе или Прометее. Это колье вдохновлено языческим огнем и является вариацией на тему старинной русской вышивки под названием «Орловский спис», история которой насчитывает уже более 200 лет. В древности считалось, что языческие символы — ромбы и кресты, которыми заполнена вышивка, обладают магической силой и выполняют роль оберега.
В работе использованы кристаллы Сваровски Oval tribe fancy stone из коллеции «Назад к истокам. Племенные мотивы», кристаллы Kite Fancy Stone, кристальный жемчуг Iridescent Red и Scarabaeus Green, японский бисер Toho и Miyuki, вышивка выполнена на льняном полотне, дополняют колье хлопковые и джутовые нити, окрашенные вручную.

The fire attracted people since ancient times as a miracle, as a symbol of strength and at the same time the warmth and comfort. Fire worshiped by all tribes and nations, at least remember the myths of Prometheus or Phoenix. This necklace is inspired by the pagan fire and this is a variation on the theme of the Russian embroidery called «Orlovsky spis», whose history goes back more than 200 years. In ancient times it was believed that pagan symbols — rhombus and crosses on this embroidery, have magical powers and perform the role of a talisman.
I used Swarovski Oval tribe fancy stones of the collection «Tribute to Tribe», Kite Fancy Stones, Iridescent Red Pearls and Scarabaeus Green Pearls, and Japanese Toho and Miyuki glass beads, embroidery done on a linen fabric, dyed cotton and jute yarn complement this necklace.
