Когда я решилась на участие в Летнем Конкурсе, я долго размышляла, что именно я бы хотела создать в честь такого серьезного юбилея компании Swarovski. Мне хотелось выразить свою благодарность и восхищение талантом людей, создающих эту хрустальную красоту, и сотворить что-то такое, что они сочли бы достойным её применением. Я поставила себе цель подчеркнуть в своей работе прозрачность, сияние, легкость кристаллов из конкурсного набора. Как часто бывает, мои мысли увели меня к теме природы — образам южных морей и скоплений прозрачных медуз, безмятежно порхающих в толще воды.
Несколько эскизов, проб и метров мононити спустя у меня была готовая идея колье, которую я и воплотила в жизнь. Я назвала эту работу Aurelia Aurita — по имени вида медуз, которых я изобразила.
Кристаллы из набора оказались в центре каждой из 12 медуз, выполненных в технике объемного плетения. Синева воды — это натуральная кожа. Колье легкое, весит всего 108 грамм, имеет дополнительную застежку-расширитель с кристаллом-каплей.
И немаловажный аспект — как и положено природным медузам, обладающим люминесценцией, мои медузы так же светятся в темноте! Так что если захочется немного волшебства, достаточно выключит свет — и время сиять!

When I decided to participate in Greenbird Summer Contest 2020, I thought for a long time what exactly I would like to create in honor of such a serious anniversary of the Swarovski company. I wanted to express my gratitude and admiration for the talent of the people who create this crystal beauty, and make something that they would consider worthy of its use. I set myself the goal of emphasizing in my work the transparency, radiance, lightness of crystals from the contest set. As often happens, my thoughts took me to the theme of nature — the images of the southern seas and clusters of transparent jellyfish, serenely fluttering in the water column.
A few sketches, samples and meters of monofilament later I had a ready idea for a necklace, which I brought to life. I named this work Aurelia Aurita after the type of jellyfish I have depicted.
Crystals from the set are in the center of each of the 12 jellyfish which are beadwoven in volume. The blue of the water is natural leather. The necklace is lightweight, weighs only 108 grams and has an additional expander clasp with a crystal drop.
And an important aspect — as it should be for natural jellyfish possessing luminescence, my jellyfish also glow in the dark! So if you want a little magic, just turn off the lights and it’s time to shine!
