Я долго была в поисках по теме конкурса «Противоположности». Душа просила создать именно сюжетное украшение и отойти от того, что привычно мне, например, от большого количества металлического блеска, как в моих прошлых работах. Поэтому я выбрала темой колье басню «Слон и Моська» Ивана Крылова. С детства знакомый остроумный сюжет воплотился ярко и сказочно: Моська получилась шкодной и взъерошенной, а Слон обрел роскошные украшения. Даже всадник Слона одет в восточном стиле, что точно для нас в диковинку 🙂 Я вышила первую строчку басни, потому что эта история начинается именно здесь. Смотря на колье, вы, как и в басне, сначала «знакомитесь» со Слоном, а после уже обращаете внимание, что Моська путается у него под ногами. По моим ощущениям колье очень напоминает книжную обложку.
В колье я использовала 10 цветов бисера, 3 оттенка шелкового бархата, 17 оттенков разных нитей от шелка до пряжи, 20 видов пайеток, 7 видов канители, вручную окрашенный шелк, жемчуг Сваровски трех цветов и кристаллы Сваровски из новой коллекции, а также натуральный речной жемчуг и многие другие материалы. Технических приемов в колье больше 10.
I have long been in search of the theme of the competition «Opposites». The soul asked me to create a plot decoration and move away from what is familiar to me, for example, from the large amount of metallic luster, as in my past works. Therefore, I chose the subject of the necklace «The Elephant and the Moska» by Ivan Krylov. Since childhood, the familiar witty plot was embodied brightly and fabulously: Moska turned out to be naughty and disheveled, and the Elephant found luxurious ornaments. Even the elephant’s rider is dressed in oriental style, which is exactly what we are wondering 🙂 I embroidered the first line of the fable, because this story begins here. Looking at the necklace, you, like in the fable, first «get to know» with the Elephant, and afterwards already notice that Moska is getting under his feet. In my senses, the necklace looks very much like a book cover.
In the necklace I used 10 colors of beads, 3 shades of silk velvet, 17 shades of different threads from silk to yarn, 20 kinds of sequins, 7 types of gimp, hand-painted silk, Swarovski pearls of three colors and Swarovski crystals from the new collection, as well as natural river pearls and many other materials. Technical techniques in the necklace are more than 10.
